Music in the Mountains: 2013 Summer Concerts at Deer Valley Resort’s Amphitheater
For the past 10 years the Utah Symphony and Opera’s Deer Valley Music Festival and the Park City Performing Arts Foundation’s Bright Nights Big Stars have filled the hills of Deer Valley Resort with a plethora of musical performances. The summer concert series include classical, country, and rock performances by beloved artists as well as those new to the scene.
The venue is at Deer Valley Resort’s Snowpark Base Area. The seasonal Amphitheater faces out over the crowd which includes, reserved sections and a vast section of the ski trail now lush with grass for general admissions. Many concertgoers arrive early to set-up and enjoy a leisurely picnic before the concerts.
Steins guest may purchase tickets (both reserved & lawn), order gourmet picnic baskets, and borrow blankets at the concierge desk. The hotel’s complimentary guest shuttle drops-off and picks-up guest curbside at the event.

Tips for attending concerts outdoors in Utah:
Bring a jacket. Despite the warm days and afternoons the air temperature will drop once the sun sets behind the mountains.
Drink Water: Staying hydrated is essential. Make sure to drink a sufficient amount of water in between other beverages.
